Incorporated in 1996
in Albany, New York, Fingerprint America, with help
from the New York State Department of Criminal Justice
Services, designed the first ever custom imprinted
Child Identification Fingerprinting Kit. Fingerprint
America established a partnership with Vanished Children's
Alliance and the company's first client was the New
York State Deputies Association.
In 1997, the company's
Child Identification Fingerprinting Kits were given
a "facelift" which included the addition of space
for a hair sample, dental records, a larger layout
and plastic protective sleeves to preserve the fingerprinting
outgrew its office space in 1998 and company headquarters
was moved across the city to 5 South Allen Street.
The company's website added secure online ordering
capabilities. Child Identification Kits printed in
Spanish were introduced to the product
1999 marked the first
order from a major metropolitan police department
(NYPD) and from a federal law enforcement agency (FBI).
Soon after, law enforcement agencies nationwide began
ordering our Child Identification Kits.
In 2000 Custom Imprinted
Child Identification Kits were offered to the advertising
and promotional industry. In May of that year, Fingerprint
America's official corporate website was launched.
In addition, WHALE Program Kits and Safety Activity
Books were added to the company product line and Fingerprint
America was featured during the "Smart Money" segment
on the Albany, New York NBC affiliate WNYT NewsChannel
13. The segment featured Fingerprint America as a
successful, locally based company that was 'making
its mark' on a national level.
In addition to great
company growth, 2001 was highlighted by event partnerships
with many of the nations top corporations. Fingerprint
America was honored to offer Child Identification
Fingerprinting Kits and to assist in promoting child
safety days with these prestigious clients.
2002 was a very busy
and exciting year for Fingerprint America. We once
again introduced a "New Look" to our current products
and added numerous new products to our product line:
- Child DNA Kit
- ID Complete
- Choiceprint Identification Kit
- Billy's Safe Adventure Video
- Billy's Safe Adventure Sing Along CD
- SHIELD Program
- Billy's Safe Adventure Complete Box Set
In addition, 2002
is the official launch year of our Independent Distributor
Program, as well as the affiliate program which brought
our products to nationwide audience at a local level.
In 2003 the ID complete
kit found its place in the market we offered a new
forensic quality isolation card that used a more stable
collection and storage system. SHIELD got a new look
and more durable and flexible helmet insert. The Safe
& Sound CD won the parent's choice award.
In 2004 Fingerprint
America began manufacturing and selling products to
the industry as well as established a long term relationship
with a national retailer. We opened up distribution
in Spain & Columbia.
2005 We upgraded
our computer systems specifically geared toward better
customer service and offering remote access to our
distributors. A relationship with Whatman Technologies
was secured to bring you the best DNA Isolation Technology
available. Distribution was opened in Australia.
Currently - We are
launching a new marketing campaign that introduces
the faces of Fingerprint America to clients and perspective
clients. Solid working relationships with several
of America's fortune 500 companies have been established.
Distribution in South Africa was opened.

our tenth year of business. Our products, prices and
customer care are as always the best available. We
